Everything you need to know about how we fulfill and deliver your print orders.

How it works

When you order prints from SmilePlease, your portraits are produced by our professional print partner, Finerworks, using archival-quality materials. Here's what to expect:

Production time

  • Processing: Orders are sent to production within 1 business day of payment (typically same day).
  • Printing: Production typically takes 1-3 business days.
  • Total before shipping: 1-4 business days from order to shipment.

Note: Production times may be longer during peak seasons (back-to-school in August-September, holidays in November-December).

Economy Shipping

Delivery time: 5-10 business days after shipment
Carrier: USPS First Class Mail
Tracking: Included

Standard Shipping

Delivery time: 3-7 business days after shipment
Carrier: USPS Priority or FedEx Ground
Tracking: Included

Express Shipping

Delivery time: 1-3 business days after shipment
Carrier: FedEx Express or UPS
Tracking: Included

Shipping rates

  • Shipping costs are calculated and displayed at checkout based on your location.
  • Free shipping: Available on orders over $30 or 10+ prints (Economy shipping, contiguous US only).
  • Shipping rates vary by package size, weight, and destination.

Shipping destinations

  • United States: We ship to all 50 states, including Alaska, Hawaii, and US territories.
  • International: Currently, we only ship within the United States. We hope to expand internationally in the future.

Order tracking

  • You'll receive a shipping confirmation email with tracking information once your order ships.
  • Track your order anytime in your Order Status page.
  • Tracking updates may take 24-48 hours to appear after the label is created.

Address changes

  • Need to change your shipping address? Contact Contact us as soon as possible.
  • Address changes are not guaranteed once production has begun (usually within 24 hours of ordering).
  • If we cannot change the address, you may need to contact the carrier directly.

Lost, delayed, or damaged packages

  • Delayed packages: If your package hasn't arrived within the expected timeframe, check the tracking status first. If there's an issue, contact us.
  • Lost packages: If tracking shows "delivered" but you haven't received your order, it may have been left with a neighbor or at your local post office. If you've checked and still can't find it, contact us within 7 days and we'll help.
  • Damaged packages: If your prints arrive damaged, take photos of the packaging and damage, then contact us within 14 days. We'll arrange a replacement. See our Refund Policy for details.

Digital orders

Digital downloads are delivered instantly via email after purchase. No shipping required! You can also access your digital downloads from your Order Status page.

Holiday and peak season notice

During back-to-school season (August-September) and holiday periods (November-December), production and shipping may take longer than usual. We recommend ordering early to ensure timely delivery.
